For students -- I lost Wednesday!
Dear students,
I completely missed Wednesday this week, probably because of the holiday. My apologies. I'll continue our student series next week. In the meantime, please submit questions.
How about pain control? What do you do to counsel/discourage drug seekers? How do you feel about back surgery? Are you open to the nurses reporting inadequate control or do you defer to the doctor? Do you do a psych consult for intense pain especially in the elderly? Why is noone working on a clinical marker for pain (I know it's a difficult problem, but the 1-10 scale is really weak). Do you have a pain clinic integrated with the hospital?
