To reflect
A scene from Mass Audubon's Broadmoor Sanctuary on a beautiful fall day.
I was wondering if you might consider posting a blog regarding physician vs non-physician executives in academic medical centers/teaching hospitals...a large number of my classmates in my MHA program are convinced that you need to be a physician to be CEO of academic medical centers, but from what I've seen it isn't uniformly true (and many AMCs have more than one CEO factoring in corporate health systems and joint medical center ventures)...anyways, I'd just be really curious to see your thoughts on that.
As an undergraduate student working to become a doctor (hopefully), I really enjoy reading your blog and appreciate your insight concerning the medical world. Just to let you know I have also tagged you in my blog. Thank you
Negotiation advisor, author, speaker; former hospital CEO, regional water and wastewater system CEO, and public utilities regulator. But above all, coach.
