Scenes from a hospital
Jessica Lipnack offers perceptive observations while visiting a patient in an out-of-town hospital.
I could add some comments of my own after my mom was "incarcerated" recently. (She had medication-induced delirium and actually thought the hospital was a jail....) This gives me an idea. Someone should start a blog where people could contribute these stories, complete with name of the institution. Perhaps that would shame these places into improving. Sunshine being the best disinfectant, as they say. And no, it's not named "eye on BI", where only negative stories are accepted. (:

Probably a union hospital. Can't do it if it isn't explicitly written in your job description
