Longwood dashes: Mystery solved!
Michael Sandman posts an answer to the question: What are those dashes on Longwood Avenue? Find his comment here. Thanks, Michael!
Ya know, I'm sorry to say this, but to me bicyclists sharing lanes with cars simply provides fodder for neurosurgeons or worse, for my (former) autopsy suite. I wish it were otherwise, but there's only one consistent loser in these situations, and it ain't the motorist.
I saw them too the other day walking down Longwood. Thought they may have been for Mini Coopers :-) Confusing as all heck and I suspect they will help increase ED volume. Hard to say the town has problems with bicycle advocates. http://www.wickedlocal.com/brookline/news/x1535674537/Bicycle-advocate-ousted-from-Brooklines-Transportation-Board

Looks like at least one of the residents has problems with bikes, period. I'm the "finnigan" who replied to Archie.
