The Year of the Tiger

The BIDMC Employee Involvement Committee decided that we should have a Lunar New Year celebration in honor of the Year of the Tiger. Our staff came together for a great event, featuring Lion Dances and Ethereal Dancers from the Massachusetts Vietnamese Scouts Association, and Chinese dulcimer players and dancers from Boston's Kwong Kow Chinese School. You've seen and heard the older dulcimer players before, but here is a video of some younger ones and the other performers.

If you cannot see the video, click here.

The children were just wonderful, and the audience so appreciative of their performance. What a lovely way to celebrate the Lunar New Year with our extended family.

Sharon: Thank you and all the staff in BIDMC for making such a wonderful celebration happen. I can't tell you how much excited I am with the performance. They make me miss my families in China and I will also tell them that I am not lonely here.

I wanted to thank you for giving us the opportunity to be part of these wonderful multicultural events. It is with pleasure to bring such events so rich in culture, as well as extremely educational, to say the least, for all our employees to enjoy; and which they do. It is a token of appreciation for all their hard work and to inspire them to treat all our patients with respect and great care.

I’m very excited to be part of this great mission.
