Berber drums

Another aspect of our Bike4Life trip to raise funds for Focus Humanitarian Assistance was to be entertained by Berber men from a local village who sang and played drums. There was a fascinating aspect of this which I present in the video below. On a cold winter night, when the performers want to adjust the pitch of their animal skin drum heads, they wave them in and around the flames of the camp fire. The heat of the fire does the trick. I thought, though, that the action itself presented an intriguing kind of artistry. Watch it all the way through and see what you think.
