On empathy

    Thanks for spreading it.

    In 200 conferences & meetings in the past 3 years I've seen a lot of ways of looking at what medicine needs, but nothing that comes close to this neglected aspect of the situation. In it I hear a lot of what you've written about here.

    would be great if some of this empathy was displayed when creating their charge master or collecting for services rendered under it.

    Billing and trying to collect 1000% of cost, where is the empathy?
