This is a stressful time of year for both medical students and hospitals, as the "match" process does its magic, and graduating medical students learn where they will be going for their graduate medical education (internship and residency). This follows months of applications and interviews. It is an intense review and selection process - in both directions.
Here's a picture of the incoming class for our Department of Medicine. There are others who will join other departments, too. We are excited to have them in our hospital and look forward to their arrival!

Lots of ladies! I believe they will eventually change the face of medicine. We've come a long way since I was asked by an interviewer why I didn't want to go to nursing school instead. (in the south, naturally.)

It is such a strange feeling that after reading a blog for some time, I get to see my face on it.
Ah, you are the handsome one!
