L'shanah tovah! שנה טובה

This is a slightly kooky but oddly engaging and uplifting video about the Jewish New Year and the tradition of dipping apples in honey to celebrate.  Hard not to smile!

Any idea where the tradition of apple-dipping originated?

I've developed a thing for dipping apples in peanut butter. Ticks off the wife, especially when she finds apple seeds in the jar while making midnight PB&J sandwiches.

A religious connection might buy me some dispensation.

I'm a few days late, but this is why I subscribe by email. (Was on a long trip.)

What a wonderful piece! Not odd at all to me! Any religion worth being in is worth enjoying, I always say. :)

Re why: here's the answer from Ask Moses. :)

p.s. Wheee, my Google Apps login is working again.
