How to secure more block time

While I hate to promulgate stereotypes about any particular group of medical specialists, this short video is too good to leave without broader dissemination.

When there is no system in place to evaluate a business statement for the allocation of resources this is the result. I would bet that there is no process to allocate "block time" is most operating rooms and when it is allocated, the is no physician led actionable utilization review process.

Why?

Medical education is about clinical skill not care delivery skill.
