MITSS seeks nominations for HOPE Award

Medically Induced Trauma Support Services is a non-profit corporation headquartered in Chestnut Hill, MA, whose mission is To Support Healing and Restore Hope to patients, families, and clinicians impacted by medical errors and adverse medical events.  Each year, the organization presents its HOPE Award, described as follows:

The HOPE Award Honors Outstanding People Everywhere who have helped to further the MITSS mission of Supporting Healing and Restoring Hope to anyone impacted by medical errors and/or adverse events.  The Award was established in 2008 by the MITSS Community Outreach Committee to recognize those people -- patients, families, healthcare providers, hospitals (or teams or departments therein), academic institutions, community health centers, grass roots organizations, EAP programs, etc. -- who exemplify the mission of MITSS. 

Nominations are now being received for this award, and they are due by Friday, September 28.  Get details here.  The $5000 award will be presented at the MITSS annual dinner and fundraiser on November 29 in Boston.
