This is specifically for my readers from India, or people who have friends there.
I have been playing a game to see if we can have readers from all the states of India. So far, I have noticed people from Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, National Capital Territory of Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Orissa, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. (In italics, if added after the initial post.)
I am particularly interested in expanding my audience in your country because I know there is intense interest in hospitals and medical issues there -- and also because you have a very high rate of computer literacy and Internet activity. I would love to get your perspectives on these issues.
So, please pass the word and encourage your friends to tune in and to let me know where they are from. Thanks very much.

Awwww...Paul....here is one Indian from NewYork city.( Raising my hand) I love reading your blog. Your blog is #1 favorite on my list and first to click after checking my e-mails. Your blog is gonna get very big soon and you are going to end up spending more time when it turns international. sure keep your eyes on india as healthcare industry is competing with IT industry over there.
Keep up the good work!
I am from 4 states - Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and West Bengal.
Just found out about your blog.
Four!? I hope you don't have to pay taxes in all of them!
Thanks for writing, and welcome.
I also would be very curious to learn about Indian healthcare and medical tourism. Who funds the Indian hospitals to which all the "tourists" go?
Great Blog. I'm not from the healthcare industry. However, I enjoyed reading it.

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
Punjabi-- but from New York. I will be an intern there in the fall.. looking forward to it.
Thanks very much. Please visit.
just to show how healthcare has advanced in India...have a look at this Joint Commission accreditated hospital http://www.asianheartinstitute.org/
The interest in healthcare sounds right, but high levels of internet usage? In September of 2006, 2.2% of people in India had used the internet in the past 30 days.
hi, from maharashtra - I guess you have that state covered. Presently in Detroit and thinking about spending more time in India and building a hospital in semi-urban and rural areas. Till that happens and hopefully later too, should be available for chit-chat and to seek advice ....In the meantime, I read this somewhere about hospital's vision and thought it is pretty cool ..
"Our vision is to make XYZ city/town the healthiest in the world"
maybe this vision will be a good start...do you agree?? - Sanjay
